Progress Statement
Work Continues for Workflow!
The Enterprise Workflow National Project is pleased to confirm that the project will continue post March 2005. The recent workflow survey has indicated that although the project has done an excellent job in educating local authorities as to the benefits of workflow and business process re-engineering, there is still more work to be done.
The project has recently completed the second phase of experience sharing workshops promoting the LETsGO initiative (Local Efficiency & Transformation GrOup) that has proved the popularity of the EWNP products and outlined some of the real issues authorities are facing. Project Manager Neil Hind said “Of the 100 or so attendees, the majority are on board with the concepts but now need real help to keep the momentum going. We need to be able to give help and advice around getting management buy in, producing the business case for BPR, understanding the skills they need and helping them procure and implement the final solutions.” It is hoped this is where the majority of effort will be expended over the upcoming months.
Work will also continue in supporting the IDeAs eSD Toolkit in the promotion of good practice for process mapping and re-engineering activities with a number of events with the eSD local communities already scheduled.
Please keep visiting the site for latest updates.

Neil Hind
